I hope this helps you get a better idea of the townhome layout and look. You'll have to see past the boxes and chaos as my children and I are trying to move to Texas in the next 2 weeks :) I am not a great photographer so I am afraid these pictures do not do it justice as to the size. I tried to give some estimates in the description below. I am having to split the pictures so that it will be sent. Sorry about the multiple emails.
I am showing the apartment and giving out applications for the landlord (Robert Whyte). If you would like to apply for this apartment, please fill out your application and contact Mr. Whyte ASAP. The response to the posting has been overwhelming so I am sure it will go quickly.
When you come in the front door, it is a split level (about 6 stairs to the upstairs and 6 stairs to the downstairs). Upstairs you have the living room on the left. It has nice windows looking out at the parking area/empty field. The blinds in here will be replaced before we leave (thanks to my kiddos :) The living room is about 12 x 18 The ceiling is vaulted and has wooden beams so it looks like a cottage.
On the way to the kitchen you pass the laundry area. It is a closed off, closet area that will fit a standard sized washer and dryer. It also has a shelf built in for cleaning supplies. (We are unable to take our washer and dryer with us. They are about 1.5 yrs old Whirlpool and we would be willing to sell them for $300 to be left with the apartment)
The kitchen has a dishwasher, pantry, and garbage disposal. It also has an extended "breakfast bar" type area. The cubboards and the pantry are not flush with the ceiling so you can put plants or appliances on top. The kitchen is about 10 x 15.
When you go downstairs, the 1st bedroom is on the R. It will also have its blinds replaced. The bedroom is about 12 x 14 with a nice walk in closet (built in shelf/ hanging bar around the top) The closet is about 4 x 4. We have kept a toddler bed, fullsize crib and tons of toys and storage in here comfortably.
The bathroom is in the middle area. It is a small standard bathroom. Before you get to the next bedroom, you pass the door to the crawl space under the stairs. I ADORE this storage. It is about 8 feet back and 3 feet wide (and it is an L so you have an additional 3 feet or so to the left) We have kept a cradle, computer, baby toys, 15 (53 gallon) totes with children's clothing, christmas tree, holiday decorations, and more in this area and out of our hair.
The other bedroom we used for the master. It is also about 12 x 14. The closet is not deep but it is wide with nice folding doors. It is about 2 x 8. It also has a shelf/ hanging bar across the entire length. We have kept a dresser, hung all our clothes, gifts, gift wrap, quilts and bedding comfortably in this closet. Also in this bedroom we have had a full size desk, queen size bed, full size crib, and rocking chair in this room comfortably.
The carpeting in the apartment is dirty and had some staining when we moved in. I am trying to find my shampooer and do it myself before I leave, but it may be left to the apartment manager to decide to do. The kitchen linoleum has a small area of damage in the kitchen that was there when we moved in. It has not bothered me, but it is something to be aware of.
We pay gas, electric (and if you want phone, internet, or cable). Our gas and electric run about 90/month.
If you are interested in renting this apartment, please fill out the application and contact Robert Whyte (the apartment manager)
Any further questions please call or email me
Thanks-
Valerie K.
